C&G - A sublime wedding at Villa Baulieu

From New York to Aix-en-Provence

It was in the French capital of love that Chelsea met her soulmate. After a few happy years together in New York, Greg decided to propose. Naturally, the lovers chose to say yes where it all began, in France. And it was Provence, the region of romance, that seduced them. We visited the sublime Villa Baulieu in the hinterland of Aix-en-Provence, an instant favorite of the newly engaged couple. An exceptional residence surrounded by vineyards, this reception venue is a must for high-end weddings in the Luberon.

An intimate dinner party

C&G's family and close friends gathered in a courtyard of the Château on Friday evening to enjoy a moment of conviviality after the trip from the USA. The dinner was served by the wedding caterer, Marrou. Guests were able to discover specialties from the Provençal region in cocktail receptions and culinary workshops.

The wedding day

A sublime lay ceremony took place in an avenue of cypress trees. Accompanied by the harp, the officiant sealed C&G's love in front of their loved ones. Decorator Charlotte Flower and Twig arranged beautiful arrangements at the ends of each row of chairs, then erected a large floral arch at the end of the aisle. Soft, pastel colors accompanied the wedding decor.

Cocktails by the pool. Villa Baulieu offers a relaxing area around the pool. Guests and bride and groom gathered on the lawn to enjoy a few cocktails and a variety of savouries. A chic and relaxed moment, while listening to the music of the live band.

Dinner was then held in the courtyard opposite the Château, beautifully lit with garlands. To find their place, guests looked for their photo on a folding screen. On the back was their table name. Indeed, it was a most original way of discovering one's place.

The tables, in the same spirit as the ceremony, were dressed in floral arrangements in shades of pink, blush, light orange... Soft colors that reflected the character of the newlyweds.

Marrou's catering team delivered a dinner that was much appreciated by all guests. A lively atmosphere was provided by the live band with musical sets between courses.

Finally, the traditional bride and groom's first dance kicked off the evening, entertained by a DJ until the end of the night.

The next day's brunch

Sunday was the last day of festivities. In the late morning, the bride and groom and their guests gathered. Around the pool, in a relaxed atmosphere, Crêpes Buissonnières cooked sweet and savoury crepes, to the delight of the American guests.
